The third general assembly of the Auburn Nepalese Committee (ANC), a collective organization of active Nepalease in Auburn, Sydney, was successfully held on Sunday.
The general assembly formed a new executive committee with Jeetendra Shrestha as the President. The assembly elected a 25-member working committee under Shrestha's leadership. The same program, attended by around two hundred people.
The newly elected President, Shrestha, expressed gratitude to everyone for electing him as the unanimously chosen President and assured his commitment to gaining their trust. He also shared plans to organize travel programs for parents visiting from Nepal and discussed the upcoming programs with the Nepali community.
The presence of personalities engaged in business in Australia and associated with the Nepali community was notable in the program. The Auburn Nepalese Committee presented their accomplishments in the same program, showcasing the contribution they have made to the Nepali community.
In this program, there were also special guests present, including Nand Gurung, President of NRNA Australia; Dinesh Kumar Pokharel, former President of International Jhapali Society and a businessman; Dinesh Raj Joshi, Coordinator of NRNA Oceania; Anil Pokharel, Treasurer of NRNA; Dila Kharel, former Treasurer and Spokesperson of NRNA; Niranjan Prasai, President of Jhapali Society Australia; Niraj Khatiwada, Vice President of Jhapali Society Australia; and former Presidents of the organization, Dwaya Ashok Upadhyaya and Ravindra Kumar Sharma.
